Sr. Engineer-Modeling & Simulation 60/40 splits
Location:CT;
Compensation: $70k - $100k
Travel 0-10%; Relocation & Housing Allowance Provided

Lead the development of CAE tools, specifically in the area of noise and vibration, and deploy them to engineering centers worldwide. Candidate will work as part of a strong core team of engineers that perform modeling and simulation activities in the areas of noise, vibration, system dynamics and motion control. Responsibilities will include:
• Develop and deploy state-of-the-art tools for system noise and vibration modeling, requirements allocation and robust design. Maintain and improve existing toolsets.
• Lead or support modeling activities for elevator and escalator system and component design.
• Work closely with corporate research center on advanced development projects and implement best practices from industry
• Teach, train and mentor fellow engineers and technicians in the organization
• Some international travel to Engineering Centers expected.
- 5 – 10 years industrial experience in a product development setting with acoustics / noise control focus.
- Strong working experience with commercial noise modeling tools and MATLAB. Preferred candidate will have experience with AutoSEA (or VA One) and Ansys (or similar commercial FEA tool).
- Strong hands-on experience with NV test methods and spectral analysis, including measurement of sound intensity and sound power.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
- MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Acoustics required.
